Who does what
The platform does not prescribe hardware of its own. Existing aircraft, cameras and sensors stay in service.
- With the manufacturer: aircraft, sensors and radio link, including certification and maintenance
- With Danubis: situational picture, mission planning, fleet coordination, AI detection, recording and chain of custody
- Together: the interface in between, through a standard or an adapter module
Established standards
The platform works with established standards for video, metadata and vehicle control: STANAG for video and metadata streams, MAVLink for aircraft. Where a standard exists, it is used. Everything else is handled by adapter modules, so device-specific details stay outside the platform core.
Take in external sources
Standardised video and metadata streams from other vendors are processed. Positions and timestamps reach the situational picture and the track, source changes stay traceable.

Drones are controlled through the connector layer. Every command passes through an approval stage and is logged. Additional device types connect through the same mechanism.
Hand over
Recordings, metadata, detections and points of interest export in open formats, for exploitation, archiving and evidentiary use outside the platform.
Depth of integration
- Data only: the device delivers video or telemetry and appears in the shared situational picture
- Payload control: camera and orientation from the console
- Vehicle control: flight commands and return-to-base through the platform
- Mission planning: routes, zones and waypoints are handed over and monitored

Devices are described by their capabilities. A new device type needs no special handling in the core.
Programming interfaces
Everything the console can do is reachable through interfaces: query state, subscribe to events, hand over data. Danubis can be embedded into an existing control room.
- Query state: devices, missions, detections, recordings, geodata
- Subscribe to events: telemetry, detections and state changes in real time
- Onboard devices: guided enrolment with access management and revocation
- Add geodata: regulatory and infrastructure map layers from the operator’s own sources
