Search and rescue
In a search for a missing person, area covered per hour decides the outcome. Several drones fly a systematic search pattern and report cues, while the crews on the ground stay where they are needed.
The search area is divided into sections and flown systematically, so coverage remains traceable at any moment. Optical and infrared models run in parallel and mark possible persons on the map, so the crews on the ground are directed to a specific cue.
Configuration
- Area: Forest, mountains or other terrain that is hard to reach
- Setup: Mobile base station, drones with optical and thermal cameras
- Operation: Systematic sweep through a scan mission with area coverage
- Detection: Trained models for persons in optical and infrared imagery
- Handling: Hits are marked as points of interest, prioritised and escalated
- Roles: The station operator tracks progress and coverage. The field operator verifies cues on site
